Hey there! Happy Monday and I hope you all had an amazing weekend.
After a long work week, I spent the weekend doing a lot of nothing and it felt AMAZING. To wind down, Ryan and I went on a last minute appetizer date at Stelle at the Gansevoort. For everyone wondering, an “appetizer date” is a term we made up for nights when we order nothing but drinks and appetizers from the menu because its too late to eat a full course meal. I hate feeling stuffed in the middle of the night.
I got ready in less than an hour so I opted for a shirt dress because of its versatility. The dress can be made casual by pairing them with gladiator sandals, but I chose to elevate the look for a night out by wearing strappy heels. I decided not to cinch my waist with a belt to create a balanced silhouette and make the look appear more effortless. I decided to wear minimal accessories and makeup because it was hot and humid. Layers of anything make me extremely comfortable in 88°F weather. This cute mini bucket bag I picked up in Barcelona adds a touch of color to the neutral ensemble, keeping things simple and trendy at the same time.
Until next time…
